2003 Limited 4X4 Diesel
Ford Excursion
This is my baby and I am genuinely saddened to let it go. We are only selling because we bought a truck in hopes of getting 5th wheel camper. This is our third Excursion and we love them. Our kids are grown and realistically we just no longer need the extra room. I've taken extremely good care of this Excursion both cosmetically and mechanically. It is bullet proofed and has a long list of tasteful modifications. No expense spared, I have not added up all of the receipts but know we've spent well over 20k since buying it not including the mods already installed when purchased. I have 90% of the receipts for the new buyer. First let me say this thing looks, sounds and runs great. It turns heads and gets compliments from people of all ages everywhere we go. The exhaust/turbo whistles like no other and sounds amazing. Tons of power and great gas mileage for a vehicle this massive. 13-16 mph depending on how you drive. The suspension and steering is super tight and it rides extremely smooth for a lifted vehicle. The tires have allot of meat on them. Brakes work great and do not pull to one side or the other. Everything works as it should. We recently had the head gaskets replaced, turbo replaced, oil changed, antifreeze flushed, new steering box, battery tender, new battery's and a complete mechanical check done. With only 134,730 miles this is a rare gem that is sure to be an exceptional vehicle for many more years to come. Comfortably seats 6-7 people. I'm the second owner and it was originally special ordered loaded with all but a few available options. I purchased this excursion with 70,000 miles in 2011 from a Diesel Performance shop in Springfield Missouri (30 years in business). It was driven by the owners wife and used for promotional events. The owners were going through a divorce and had a court order to sell the Excursion. 95% of the miles I've put on it were highway miles, 12 miles highway each way to and from work. I've used it to pull our 30 foot pontoon 4 miles each way to the lake during the summer months. We've also pulled our 20ft enclosed trailer with it on occasion. The remote rear air bags, tow tune and tow haul setting make towing nice and smooth when needed. This rig is set up right, fully serviced, detailed and ready to roll. Here is a lengthy list of options, parts and accessories. I've included 90+ pictures but do have more. Let me know if you have any questions at all. Josh 888-511-2453

- He had installed a MDS Digital Propane Injection System but never installed the tank or used the system. I also have a Extra complete brand new injection system with detailed instructions that is included. A large vapor propane tank and a remote fill set up to be mounted in the rear for easy refills. The plan was to mount the tank inside the frame rail in the rear with steel bracing around it. Install a drive shaft loop (very inexpensive). I also have notes on how to set it up but never completed the install. The system is 75% installed, completely computerized and supposed to give gains of 50-80hp safely while giving a 2-3 mpg increase in fuel mileage loaded or unloaded. I never installed it because the system needs liquid so the tank either needs the fitting moved to the liquid side or something needs to be put inline to convert the vapor to liquid. The instructions are very detailed and easy to understand and most of the cost has already been spent. I personally did not want to put a tank inside the vehicle. But if that is something you would like to do a regular barbecue grill tank could be used inside the cargo area or installed underneath. It would be Very inexpensive to get fully operational that way.

Please understand that this is a used vehicle and I'm trying to disclose any imperfections I know of to prevent any surprises for the lucky new owner. This is not normal and Most sellers would not mention any of these because the Excursion is truly so nice throughout.
Interior Imperfections:
The bottoms of the front seats show normal wear, the drivers armrest has cracks in the fabric. Otherwise the inside is in excellent condition with less than normal wear. I did get a quote to replace the bottom of the drivers seat ($200)…not necessary but would make it look new again.
Exterior Imperfections:
The paint is in Great condition for its age. There are normal small scratches and a few Very small dings that you would have to do an extensive search to find. The clear on the lower trim has small spots from rocks. There are a few other spots where the clear has chipped the largest area is on the passenger front fender flare. The passenger door lower trim came loose and was catching when the door opened. So a small section of the trim was cut/removed. When I was cleaning the Excursion getting it ready to sell I noticed some paint peeling on the roof. I did have it professionally repaired recently as a preventative measure. I didn't have them blend the paint because realistically no one ever sees it. Epoxy was used to seal the area and no filler was used. Always look at the roof on an Excursion before purchasing because this is a common problem. The body and paint is all original, overall looks great and the imperfections are not at all noticeable. The tires rub when turned sharp or turning and hitting a large bump. I'm used to it and know how to drive without rubbing. That could easily be fixed by trimming the inner fenders more at the bottom. The 0- Offset wheels and 13.5 tires did not rub. They were discontinued when I bought the new wheels. The new wheels are -12mm offset and the tires are 13" wide. I'm including the original Pro-Comp wheels with 4 tires mounted. My plan was to have them PVD coated (better than chrome) and reinstall them when my current Good Year Wranglers get low on tread. Or a guy could add a little more lift and take care of this, I didn't want to go that route because it wouldn't fit in my garage if I raised it anymore.
